AIM and Fulya Cardiology Announce Clinical Trial Collaboration
AI For Medicine (“AIM”) and Fulya Cardiology (“Fulya Cardiology”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a clinical trial collaboration on clinical artificial intelligence applications.
AI For Medicine (“AIM”) and Fulya Cardiology (“Fulya Cardiology”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a clinical trial collaboration on clinical artificial intelligence applications. The collaboration will be conducted under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Yücel Saygın on behalf of AIM and Prof. Dr. Bingür Sönmez on behalf of Fulya Cardiology.
The AIM platform, whose effectiveness has been strengthened through the 6-month pilot study currently underway at Fulya Cardiology and through the feedback of Prof. Dr. Bingür Sönmez, will be evaluated in a clinical trial under this agreement.
Under the agreement, no additional medical intervention or treatment will be applied to participating patients. The objective of the trial is to support physicians’ existing clinical decision-making and operational processes with AIM’s artificial intelligence models. Throughout the trial, standard clinical care protocols will remain unchanged.
Physicians will integrate AIM’s artificial intelligence tools into their existing clinical workflows, and data will be collected regarding user experience, their impact on clinical decision-making processes, economic benefits, and operational profitability.
" We are excited to conduct the first artificial intelligence initiative developed in our country in this field within an academic framework and in a clinical environment. The widespread adoption of the work we are carrying out in medicine will help position our country one step ahead in this rapidly accelerating global race."
— Prof. Dr. Yücel Saygın, Co-Founder of AIM
" As the final stage, transforming speech into written documentation has been a revolutionary innovation. While talking with the patient, it does not record unnecessary conversations and reminds you of the questions you have forgotten to ask. This is truly an incredible innovation. Finally, the medical history and informative notes provided to patients and their relatives create a great sense of confidence."
— Prof. Dr. Bingür Sönmez, Fulya Cardiology
Within the scope of the research, the effectiveness of AIM’s artificial intelligence tools in medical history taking, ICD-10-TR diagnosis coding, laboratory testing, and consultation will be evaluated specifically in the fields of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. The objective is to measure their impact on ICD-10-TR coding accuracy, success in identifying supplementary SUT codes, clinical documentation time, and the quality of consultation documentation. This collaboration also aims to validate AIM’s integration into general outpatient clinic and patient admission workflows. The active clinical research period will begin in August 2026.
